Eyal was born in Moshav Beit Gamliel, a small community established in 1949, 25 km from Tel Aviv. The moshav was primarily founded by Holocaust survivors from Europe, with the first settlers coming from Romania, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia. Some residents also hail from North African countries, such as Algeria and Tunisia. Initially, only 93 families lived in Beit Gamliel. Today, the moshav has just over a thousand residents. Eyal loved playing basketball with his brothers and had a particular fondness for lemon pie. His family recalls, "This is Eyal's favorite dessert; when he returned from the army, he always asked us to make it for him."
Eyal Mevorach Twito, a platoon leader of the 202 Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade, was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip on January 22, 2024. He was posthumously awarded the rank of captain. He was only 22 years old.
