Cover the peas with water, add a little salt, and cook until soft. The cooking time depends on how large the peas are and whether they are fresh or frozen.
After cooking, drain off excess water.
Add butter, chopped parsley, and mint to the hot peas, beat with an immersion blender into a thick puree, and add salt and pepper to taste.
This is good as a side dish for chicken, duck, and lamb dishes.
