Nothing marks the change of seasons quite like the holidays that follow one after another. It feels like we’ve just finished the last hamantaschen, and already it’s time to scrub the house until it shines and get ready for the Passover Seder.
It’s a reminder that life goes on, no matter what — that we are still here, and we still have one another. Which means there is still hope — hope for an exodus from Egypt, for future freedom. Passover is a deeply meaningful holiday because it is all about freedom—the kind we want so badly to believe in.
So we’ll all gather together, read the Haggadah, drink wine, eat matzo, and then dine and celebrate life — because how could it be any other way?
Last Passover, we gathered the warmest and most traditional recipes from our grandmothers across the world. If you’re looking for something just as real and comforting as a grandmother’s hug, start right here.
We wanted something unexpected this year — a fresh take on familiar flavours. We wanted to rise to the challenge and answer those who say you can only make the same thing with matzo. Not true! Just look what we’ve come up with.
