cottage cheese - 2 packs of 250 grams each ("cottage")
labane - 1 pack, 250 grams (can be replaced with Greek yogurt or ricotta)
egg - 1 pc.
grated mozzarella or other hard cheese - 150-200 g
garlic - 1 clove
olive oil - 2 tbsp
salt (pinch)
black pepper to taste
dried oregano or basil - 1 tbsp
ground nutmeg - 1 tsp
Cooking method
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
Tomato sauce: Mix tomatoes, garlic, herbs, olive oil, season with salt and black pepper
White sauce: Mix cottage cheese, labneh, egg, a teaspoon of nutmeg, salt, and stir well
Assembling the lasagna:
(Note that there should be enough tomato sauce for three layers and enough white sauce for two). Place a sheet of lasagna in the bottom of a medium ovenproof rectangular dish. Spread a layer of tomato sauce, followed by a layer of white sauce. Place another lasagna sheet on top, followed by more tomato and white sauces. Place the last lasagna sheet on the white sheet and pour the remaining tomato sauce over it.
Sprinkle grated cheese on top and place in the oven for 30 minutes.
